011: To Live is ChristWhat is our life? What value is it to acquire possessions, win awards, be honored and praised by men, achieve successes, live in comfort and luxury, have fun, travel the world, experience new things... Such things are of no enduring value.
Jesus said it this way in Luke 9:24-25:
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?
What is a meaningful way to spend our lives? Living for Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:21:
For me to live is Christ...
The Apostle Paul said this in Acts 20:24:
But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
A meaningful life is living each day for God and his glory. God has given us a mission: to testify to the gospel of the grace of God, to make disciples, to share his love with everyone. A life poured out for Christ and his gospel is a life well spent.
